Men of Dignity
Auburn, Massachusetts
A Massachusetts collective of recovery homes built on a simple idea: prepare people to make their own decisions, and to live independently, for many, for the first time.
About Men of Dignity
Men/Miracles of Dignity is a collective of sober living homes based in Massachusetts, serving men and women in recovery from addiction. Its houses include King Sober House, Germain Sober House and Elm Sober House, with additional homes in Southbridge and Springfield.
Noel Dennis runs them. A small-business consultant with more than twelve years in the Worcester recovery community, he previously served as Program Director for the Channing House. That combination, operational discipline and long familiarity with the local recovery landscape, shapes how the homes are run.
The houses are built for people who are working: toward employment, toward education, toward giving something back. Residents are expected to take ownership of their own recovery, and are supported while they do.
The Mission and Vision of Men of Dignity
Our Mission
To run homes that empower guests to make their own decisions, so they leave prepared for independent living, for many of them, for the first time in their lives.
Our Vision
To break the cycle of addiction and instability by pairing real support with the tools people need to stand on their own, and to see guests who once felt lost find confidence, stability and a future.
Leadership at Men of Dignity
Noel Dennis works to make sure his guests have the best possible foundation to rebuild. “My goal is to have houses that empower the guests to make their own decisions,” he says. “I want to help them be prepared to go back to independent living, or to go to independent living for the first time in their lives.”
He chose recovery housing because he saw it as a way to make a meaningful difference. For him it was never just about a roof. It is about community, accountability and hope, and the conviction that a structured, supportive environment can be the foundation for a rebuilt life.
Beyond shelter, Noel emphasises personal growth and responsibility. He encourages guests to take ownership of their recovery through employment, education, or service to the community. His approach is rooted in compassion, and equally in the belief that real change happens when people are given both support and the tools to stand on their own.
