The Oxford House sober living model is a peer-led group residence. The Oxford House concept is to sustain peer-supported recovery residences for residents in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. An Oxford House describes this model of a democratically administered sober house, run by the residents themselves without oversight, and financially supported by rent payments made by each resident toward the total living expenses for the home. The Oxford House organization is a publicly supported, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, providing a network connecting all Oxford House homes and working to help fund and support growth in terms of new homes when needs arise.

Our first sober house in the state, the Beacon of Light home is poised to shine bright and lead the way towards recovery. Our mission is to guide our residents from darkness to light. This structured NCARR pending-certified sober house for men is guided by the NARR principles and is dedicated to the success of sober living residents.
