Meet Victoria Bowman: Faith-driven, Visionary Leader
Victoria Bowman is a transformational leader whose life embodies redemption, resilience, and purpose. As Founder and Executive Director of Freedom Housing Empowered by Faith Sober Living, she leads with compassion and conviction, creating structured, faith-based environments where individuals can rebuild their lives after addiction, incarceration, or hardship.
Her journey from adversity to advocacy shapes every aspect of her mission. She persevered through years of adversity and instability, engaging in recovery programs and supportive institutions before embracing a renewed life grounded in discipline, education, and spiritual commitment. Today, she celebrates long-term recovery and channels her hard-won wisdom into creating opportunities for others to heal and thrive.
About Freedom Housing: Empowered by Faith
Freedom Housing Empowered by Faith Sober Living is the organization Victoria founded to extend second chances, just as she was given one. The organization’s mission is clear: provide comprehensive, wraparound support for individuals transitioning from recovery programs or incarceration.
With these values at the core, she has built Freedom Housing not only to provide shelter but also restore dignity, discipline, and hope. Residents receive structure and community along with connections to mental health resources, employment opportunities, recovery support, and spiritual growth.
Victoria blends faith-driven service with organizational excellence. Under her direction, Freedom Housing has expanded to multiple Kentucky cities, providing a foundation for individuals to transition from survival to stability and from stability to purpose.
About Vanderburgh Sober Living
Vanderburgh Sober Living exists to build peer-supported, recovery-focused communities that guide individuals toward lasting sobriety. Every Certified Home is led by a trained House Mentor and follows structured rules that promote accountability, growth, and healing.
Most of our homes are operated by independent, self-employed Owners/Operators—like Victoria—who bring their passion and expertise to local communities. Through our Charter Program, Vanderburgh Sober Living provides a platform for individuals to start and operate their own sober homes with full operational, branding, and community support.
Homes with Hope and Structure
Since launching in May 2025, Freedom Housing has established two group living homes—one for women in Owensboro and the other for men in Vine Grove, Kentucky. These homes are built on accountability, dignity, and daily routines that foster stability.
More than a roof, they offer residents a framework for rebuilding: consistent expectations, supportive peer community, and practical tools for long-term success within a faith-centered environment.
A Journey that Informs the Work
Victoria’s journey from adversity to advocacy continues to inform the work she does each day. Having personally navigated recovery, Victoria has developed a profound understanding of what sustainable healing truly requires—stability, accountability, community, and faith.
Victoria’s professional path, spanning operations, management, and business administration (ECTC Business Management)—equips her to lead with both heart and know-how. From early steps in recovery to advancing in her career, she’s maximized every opportunity to learn, grow, and serve. Her leadership style blends compassion with clear standards, reflecting the balance Freedom Housing brings to every home it operates.
Victoria’s leadership continues to inspire residents, staff, and community partners alike, demonstrating what’s possible when discipline meets divine direction.
Why It Matters
Recovery doesn’t end when a program does. People need safe housing, steady routines, community, and purpose to sustain change. Her vision is rooted in the belief that recovery is not a destination but a lifelong process guided by faith, structure, and community.
Freedom Housing exists at that critical pivot point, offering structure, support, and faith-anchored encouragement so residents can move beyond survival and into stability.
Victoria’s Words of Purpose
“Freedom Housing stands as a testament to what faith, discipline, and obedience can create when you allow God to lead your path.”
“Through those dark seasons, God’s grace met me where I was and began shaping me into who I am today.” — Victoria Bowman
