Pathway2Progress Launches Recovery-Focused Housing in Colorado

We’re honored to introduce the leadership team behind Pathway2Progress, a new Vanderburgh Sober Living chartered operator dedicated to creating safe, structured, second-chance housing and real economic opportunity for people rebuilding their lives in Colorado.

Their work sits at the intersection of recovery housing, workforce development, and reentry support, helping individuals move from incarceration, homelessness, and trauma into stability, employment, and long-term success.

Meet the Pathway2Progress Founders: Leaders in Colorado Reentry & Recovery Housing

Pathway2Progress is led by three mission-driven co-founders whose combined experience spans entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, operations, faith-based service, and community advocacy.

Together, Sean McClay, Marcus Weaver, and Jeffrey Legins are building pathways for people who are often overlooked, those coming home from incarceration, emerging from homelessness, or working to heal from trauma. Through safe housing, mentorship, and workforce opportunities, they are turning second chances into sustainable futures.

Sean McClay: Entrepreneurial Vision for Workforce Housing in Colorado

Sean McClay is the principal founder of Pathway2Progress, where his passion for growth, opportunity, and personal development comes to life.

A naturally driven and success-oriented leader, Sean has managed multiple businesses from the startup stage, gaining firsthand experience in what it takes to build something meaningful from the ground up. That entrepreneurial mindset now powers his work in workforce and recovery-focused housing in Colorado, where innovation and compassion go hand in hand.

Sean’s work is fueled by a genuine desire to help people:

  • Discover their strengths
  • Break through internal and external barriers
  • Reach their full potential

Through Pathway2Progress, he focuses on creating practical pathways for individuals to elevate their lives, whether through mentorship, mindset development, or skill-building opportunities. His goal is simple and clear: empower others to succeed and celebrate their wins along the way.

Marcus Weaver: Nonprofit Leader Creating Second Chances After Incarceration

Marcus Weaver, co-founder of Pathway2Progress, is a nonprofit leader and social entrepreneur dedicated to real second chances for people rebuilding their lives.

As Executive Director of Lower the Barrier Colorado and founder of The People’s Pickles, Marcus has helped more than 500 individuals transition from incarceration, homelessness, and trauma into stable housing and meaningful employment—with a recidivism rate of less than 1%.

Marcus is also:

  • A survivor of the Aurora theater shooting
  • The author of Chosen to Forgive
  • A powerful voice for dignity, healing, and restorative justice

He channels his lived experience into:

  • Advocacy for those who are often unheard
  • Workforce development that connects people to real jobs and training
  • Community-building that restores connection, purpose, and hope

Marcus is driven by a deep belief in dignity, opportunity, and the power of authentic connection to transform lives, values that are at the heart of Pathway2Progress’ housing and workforce model.

Jeffrey Legins: Operations, Faith & Community-Centered Housing in Colorado

Jeffrey Legins is a seasoned project management and operations professional dedicated to advancing social equity and community empowerment.

As co-founder of Pathway2Progress Workforce Housing, he works to bridge the divide between affordable housing and economic opportunity, helping individuals build both stability and long-term success. Jeffrey also:

  • Serves on the board of Lower the Barrier
  • Is a member of Colorado’s Member Experience Advisory Council (MEAC)

In these roles, he advocates for removing systemic barriers and strengthening community engagement across the state.

For nearly four decades, Jeffrey has been a committed member of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, where he serves as Multimedia Director—blending his technical expertise with faith-driven service. Known for bringing together structure, compassion, and strategic vision, he is deeply committed to creating pathways for people and communities to thrive.

Outside of his professional and community work, Jeffrey enjoys the outdoors, camping, and ATV riding, reminders of the joy, rest, and balance he hopes every person will one day be able to experience in their own lives.
