In 2020, a real estate broker in Rhode Island contacted us about two sober living homes in Warwick. The owners wanted to ensure their homes continued to serve the recovery community but faced challenges finding a suitable buyer. Traditional real estate investors lacked the operational expertise needed for sober living, and banks were reluctant to finance the properties. The sellers faced the costly and risky prospect of converting the homes into standard residences, jeopardizing their mission of supporting recovery.

After visiting the homes, meeting with the staff and guests, and reviewing their policies, we arranged for a local VSL Chartered Operator to purchase the properties. Within 30 days, the transaction was completed. The homes, now operated by Kayaly Recovery, continue to serve the Warwick community, ensuring no disruption to the essential services they provide.
