Home Leadership - About David Feehery

The Rediscovery Recovery House in Springfield, Illinois is the first Vanderburgh House location in Illinois. The house is operated by David Feehery. In September 2022, David stepped into the operator role with a wealth of sober living experience. David has been through 12 sober living homes himself and worked as a sober living house manager for 1 ½ years prior to becoming the Rediscovery Home operator.

David works to create a safe, healthy, and productive environment in his home. The ultimate goal is for guests to leave the home with the skills and confidence to lead their own life in recovery. “The best part about being an operator is the reward of someone coming in with nothing, then moving out on their own, and getting their own place; it’s getting to see the growth.”

Some Vanderburgh House sober homes are independently owned and operated by Chartered Operators of the Vanderburgh House sober living system. Please visit Vanderburgh Communities for more information on how to become a sober living Operator with the Vanderburgh House system.
