The Humphrey Sober House is our second men’s structured sober living home in the North Shore region of Massachusetts. This sober house offers a structured recovery environment led by an experienced House Mentor. The home is centrally located in Marblehead, immediately across from a bus station, and close to area amenities.
Sober house guests enjoy a quiet community in a newly-renovated and spacious home. This home offers a great deal of parking and outdoor space, along with modern amenities inside the sober house. The sober living home is a short walk from the ocean as well as Downtown Marblehead.

Vanderburgh House sober living offers sober house guests structure as well as independence to rebuild their lives. All Vanderburgh House sober living homes offer free wifi and cable TV, on-site laundry, storage, and plenty of recovery support services for men in recovery.
Rooms & Rates

Weekly rate: $235
All-inclusive sober living rent payments are due in a timely manner and are not currently covered by insurance or subsidies. Rent includes:
Urine screen costs
Free high-speed Wi-Fi
On-site coin-op laundry
Move-in deposit: $200
This deposit is due on or before your move-in date. It is only refundable if you complete the intake process, and if you give 30-days’ notice. Please be prepared to meet your financial obligations.
This home does not accept MASH funding.

Recovery Community
The Humphrey Sober Living Home for men offers a large and diverse sober home community. Guests rely on peers in the sober home, as well as trained House Mentors for support, coaching, and encouragement. Guests engage in the sober home community as well as the broader recovery community throughout Marblehead. Sober house guests participate in weekly house meetings and community activities both as a home and independently.

Home Leadership - Introducing Scott Murray
The Humphrey Sober House in Marblehead, MA is a MASH Certified sober-living home serving men in their recovery journey. The home is operated by Scott Murray, a full-time fire captain, licensed social worker and certified drug and alcohol counselor with 36 years of experience.
Scott serves the men in his community with a wealth of knowledge and understanding. He is passionate about helping those in challenging situations find their way out. “My goal is to create a healthy, safe, and sober environment for men coming out of treatment who are trying to get back to being productive members of society.”
The Humphrey Sober House for Men is independently owned and operated by 24 Chapman, LLC.
